“The photos are amazing and you are amazing!“
First time I heard about weddings being held at Trinity was when Khemi told me that’s where her and Tom are getting married. What a brilliant idea, I thought! It was one of the most fun and colourful weddings of the season. The energy was insane! As they had an early ceremony, I didn’t document them getting ready, instead I met Tom looking dapper and a tad nervous straight at the venue. The ceremony was incredibly smooth. Their registrar was lovely – professional, but fun! After the ceremony we were able to use the outside space for drinks and speeches. I absolutely love it when couples have visions that are unique. Khemi and Tom broke away from many wedding “traditions” and that is exactly what made their wedding so special.
Choosing the person you marry is one of the biggest decisions of your life!
It’s not just about those first months or in some cases years of passion and intense attraction. It’s so much more than that! You are choosing someone to spend the rest of your life with. Someone to wake up next to every single morning. Someone who will always fight in your corner and hold your hand. A teammate. I had a little time with Tom after the ceremony and as I was chatting to him, all I could think is that Khemi is so lucky! In fact I was thinking how lucky they both are. What a team! Their connection is a really special one. I have spoken to Khemi a few times about how she felt for Tom, but listening to his version of their love story was so beautiful and special. I am excited to see what the future holds for them.
The party really kicked off once we left Trinity! It was the most glorious early Autumn day. The Farm (the pub where Khemi and Tom chose to spend the rest of their wedding day at) was so beautifully decorated. I have said it before, but I will say it again, the energy was insane! I have never seen a more laid back bride and that really influenced the way the day unravelled. Zero stress! Drinks flowing, amazing music and a bunch of good friends having fun.
I took Khemi and Tom for a little stroll on the streets of St. Werburghs and allow them a little space. A minute to breath. Weddings days can be intense therefor it’s great to step away from the madness for a little bit and just take it all in.
If it’s not yet obvious that this Trinity Community Arts wedding was sensational, let me tell you about the dancing! As a general rule, I love the dance floor! A dance floor in a beer garden? Now that’s even better! Amazing DJs, some killer moves and a lot of booze! Even I had a cheeky drink. And it is not a habit of mine to drink when I work, but it’s hard to say no when you feel like you’re a part of the gang. Khemi and Tom have made me feel so welcome. They made my job so easy. They left a big mark.

so subtle that it becomes more real than reality.”
