I know I spoke about this before, but I wanted to tell you again why I love lifestyle photography SO much! First of all, what is lifestyle photography?

Sitting down in front of the camera in the photographer’s studio and waiting for him/her to say cheese, while feeling just a little bit awkward –  yeah, that’s not it! Lifestyle photography captures real life situations in an artistic manner. It tells you a story and it helps you preserve memories so that when you look back, you will remember that exact moment, as it happened. It is totally unposed and honest.

When I meet my clients, my aim is always to make them feel comfortable with me. I want them to almost forget that they are being photographed so that they stop pretending. I don’t look for the perfect smile, the perfect hair or the perfect pose. I look for a genuine hug, a subtle sign of affection and an honest connection. It is not always easy. Sometimes it takes more time to get there and patience is key. Some things cannot be rushed.

Regardless of who is in front of my camera, my excitement is probably contagious (or at least I like to think so). On this occasion, I photographed two of my most favourite people in the world and I can’t stop looking through their final gallery. Let me know what you thin. x
