Two things I really love, a bit of glamping and a good old traditional country pub. The Holford Arms in the picturesque counties of Wiltshire and Gloucestershire offer both. With luxury chalets, permanent bell tents and camping facilities, all your wedding guests can stay over and party into the night. When Robynne and Cal chose me as their Holford Arms wedding photographer, I knew their big day was going to be extraordinary! And they did not disappoint!
The Holford Arms will cater not only for small and intimate weddings, but also for huge parties. With a stunning events space, plenty of beautiful Cotswold countryside and the opportunity to stay overnight, you’ll find everything you need here. I absolutely loved working here but if your vibe is less country and more urban, check out this super cool Bristol wedding.
Robynne and Cal chose to get married at The Holford Arms and I think they couldn’t have picked a better place for their super unique wedding! First of all, I must say that Robynne is one of a kind! She is that bride every photographer wants to work with! She knows what she wants, super creative, absolutely stunning and with excellent taste in everything. I mean she chose Cal to be her husband – one the nicest people I have met in my entire life. When they first got in touch they told me they love horror movies therefor the folk horror film Midsommar became the inspiration behind their wedding décor. They picked Forrest and Flowers as their florist and she delivered the most amazing flowers.
Did I mention that the venue has these super cute little chalets you can rent out while you get married there? Yes, I did, a few times actually. Robynne and Cal did just that. I started off my day as their Holford Arms wedding photographer with the girls. Amy was on hair duties and Pati worked her magic in the make up department. They both did such a fabulous job and they are both absolute babes! It is probably a good time to mention the dress! In fact not the dress, but the dresseS! Yes, plural. Because Robynne didn’t just have one. She didn’t even have two. You guessed it, she had THREE wedding dresses. I mean that’s a proper rock star thing to do, right? I told you she was one of a kind! Two of these dresses were from Ashwell and Co, a wonderful vintage boutique in Bristol.
Robynne and Cal had a beautiful humanist ceremony. They wrote their own vows so they can make everyone cry with their well chosen words and the love they have for each other. Even I had a few tears running down my face, but luckily I don’t think anyone noticed.
A beautiful couple, splendid weather and a great location : perfect recipe for some creative portraits so we had fun creating these.
I have to say this unique wedding was one of my absolute favourite ones of the season. These guys really know how to have a good time. That is always the most important element of a wedding for me. Their decorations were amazing, they set up a table for beer pong, they had a tequila shots station, a fire pit for toasting marshmallows. Trust me, it was perfection! I am forever grateful to have been chosen as their Holford Arms wedding photographer. I would love to work here again so if you are planning a wedding at this venue and would like to find out about what I can offer you, please come and send me a little e-mail.
