After only just moving to Bristol, I had the huge honour of photographing a wedding at Bristol Royal Marriot Hotel! And not any wedding : an extravagant and colourful union of two beautiful humans, Andy and Matt. They had their dream day, and as for me, being royal marriot hotel photographer can be crossed off my bucket list!
Everyone has heard of The Royal Marriot Hotel. You know, that place in Bristol where dream weddings come true. Being in the heart of town, the sky is the limit when it comes to doing things a bit differently. Arriving on a boat? Absolutely! Not a problem.
Wedding ceremonies are one of my favourite parts of a wedding day. Matt and Andy chose a beautiful and simple decor. Stephanie worked her magic in creating a beautiful arch paying so much attention to all the little details! Trust me, I was there and I’ve seen her in action.
One of the wonderful things about a civil ceremony is that us photographers have a lot of freedom. As a Royal Marriot Hotel Photographer, I was able to move around the room as much as I pleased to make sute not one emotion is missed! And trust me, when it comes to your wedding photos, those genuine emotions are the ones you want to treasure forever.
They said yes aaaaand breath! It’s time to grab a drink, to hug, to laugh, to get ready to party!
As a general rule, us wedding photographers will allow you to eat in peace. We take photos of your beautiful table set up, we document all the laughs and tear that happen during speeches and then we take a break and allow you to eat your yummy dinner. The way Matt and Andy chose to set up their tables was stunning. Simple and elegant. The team at Bristol Royal Marriot Hotel did a fantastic job turning the room around in a super short period of time.
One of the big advantages of getting married at Bristol Royal Marriot Hotel is that you are right in the heart of town. Such great opportunities to step outside for some creative portraits and escape the madness of the wedding day for a few minutes.
What already was an absolutely stunning day, became even better when the drag cabaret and burlesque dancing started! It was a show of a lifetime! A lineup of insanely talented performers, all there to celebrate together with Matt and Andy! Not sure what will ever top that evening.
Capturing this LGBTQ+ wedding as Rich Howmans second photographer has honestly been a highlight of my year! Wanna chat about your wedding plans or see some more of my work? I would love to hear from you!
